Czech Language and Culture Club

This course is crafted for students who find delight in a leisurely and unhurried approach to learning, and who relish immersing themselves in the Czech language and culture.

Sing Your Way to Czech

  • In this class, you will learn 10 Czech songs (one in each lesson). We will explore new vocabulary, focus on grammar that appears in the songs, and work on pronunciation.
  • Why is it a great idea to include music in your language learning?
    • You hear words directly in context.
    • Choruses repeat, so you easily remember useful phrases.
    • You hear natural pronunciation – and when you sing along, you also mimic the melody of the language.

If you are not sure what level to choose, please contact our lecturer, Kristýna Horáčková, at kristyna@czechschoolchicago.org. She will schedule a short online consultation to help you get placed in the right level.
