During our last class of the year, we embraced the holiday spirit by making delicate pearl ornaments from Poniklá. This traditional craft, renowned for its unique technique of glass bead blowing and creating beaded Christmas decorations, was added to UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2020. 🎄🌟🦋

Mikuláš, čerti a anděl přišli zhodnotit chování v uplynulém roce i mezi Masarýčky a jejich kamarády předškoláky. 🎅👹👼 Danka, Fabio, Vláďa i Oskar vnesli do školy tu pravou adventní atmosféru a na tvářích dětí vykouzlili nezapomenutelné výrazy. Pěkné vánoční prázdniny všem rodinám a s žáky Masarýčka na viděnou zase v lednu! ❄️

Mikuláš, čerti, and anděl visited us on the last day of school, bringing joy, laughter, and a sprinkle of magic to everyone! 🎅👹👼 The students shared poems and songs while trying to convince čert they have been good all year. Thank you to our amazing volunteer moms and one wonderful grandpa, for keeping our traditions alive! 💫

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Ray Capek, every one of our students was gifted a book this year. Whether it came from the hands of St. Nicholas or directly from the hands of the authors, the joy was the same! 🎄📚

Our older students were especially fortunate, as they received their copy of Holčička ze známky earlier this fall during Czech Heritage Week, when they had the unique opportunity to meet writer Markéta Pilátová and illustrator Renáta Fučíková.

This educative gesture not only allows teachers to read more with their students in class but also expands the Czech libraries in the homes of the families who bring their children to our school. Thank you, Ray Capek, for making this possible!

Last night, the Masaryk School hosted a special event featuring the screening of Czech Mechanical Nativity Scenes and an insightful conversation with Miloslav Hirsch, a contact introduced to us by our previous Consul General Jaroslav Kantůrek. 🎥

We are especially grateful to Miloslav Hirsch for his thoughtful introduction and for sharing behind-the-scenes stories about the film’s creation and the cultural importance of these extraordinary mechanical nativity scenes. 🐑👼🏼🫏

This special evening marked the final event of the year for the Masaryk School, and it was wonderful to wish happy holidays to so many familiar faces—from our teenage students and parents to our supporters and friends. Thank you for being part of our journey this year! 💫
